Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Scope of the Policy and Services Covered

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all transactions conducted on the website operated by datryze for Course A, a professional hub dedicated to live television production training. The services include access to materials exploring studio equipment integration, dynamic camera techniques, acoustic optimization, lighting setups, and reliable production processes for news programs, interviews, and live shows. It covers purchases of digital courses, subscription access, and related professional development offerings targeted at individuals and organisations based in the United Kingdom.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as certification or extended access periods. datryze reserves the right to adjust pricing for new enrolments while existing subscriptions remain at the rate agreed at the time of purchase. Customers are responsible for any bank or payment processor fees incurred outside the United Kingdom.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. All transactions are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. Authorisation occurs at the point of purchase, and funds are held until the order is confirmed. datryze does not store card details on its systems.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

A contract is formed once payment is successfully authorised and a confirmation email is sent to the customer. This email contains details of the purchased course, access instructions, and a summary of the terms. Until this confirmation is received, no binding agreement exists between the customer and datryze.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers in the United Kingdom generally have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which they may cancel without providing a reason. However, this right is lost once digital content is downloaded or streamed, or when a service has begun with the customer's prior consent.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available only within the cooling-off period and before any substantial access to course materials has occurred. Non-refundable items include completed modules, issued certificates, and any promotional bundles where access has been granted. Subscriptions that have been active for more than 14 days are not eligible for pro-rata refunds.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, customers must submit a written request via the contact form on the Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. The request should include the order number, date of purchase, and a clear statement of intent to cancel. Requests received outside the 14-day period will be assessed under exceptional circumstances only.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

Each refund request is reviewed within five working days. datryze will notify the customer by email whether the request has been approved or rejected, providing reasons for any refusal. Approved refunds are processed without further delay.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Refunds are issued using the original payment method. Processing typically takes between three and ten working days, although the time for funds to appear in the customer's account may vary depending on the payment provider. datryze will provide a confirmation once the refund has been initiated.

Special Rules for Digital Content and Subscriptions

Because Course A consists primarily of digital content, access is granted immediately upon purchase. Customers who expressly consent to immediate access waive their right to cancel once streaming or downloading begins. Subscription renewals follow the same cancellation rules as initial purchases.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges and Chargebacks

In the event of a failed payment, access to the course is suspended until the transaction is successfully completed. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly upon notification to [email protected]. Chargebacks are treated as cancellations and may result in permanent loss of access. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account suspension pending verification.

Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects the customer's statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, or the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. These rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.

Contact Route, Policy Changes and Last-Updated Date

Questions regarding this policy should be directed to [email protected] or via the contact form. datryze may update this policy from time to time; the version applicable to each purchase is the one displayed at the time of transaction. This document was last updated on 2 November 2026.

Customers are encouraged to retain a copy of this policy along with their purchase confirmation for their records. All communications concerning payments and refunds are handled confidentially in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
